Default 2005 S40 headlight problem

I have a 2005 S40. My passenger side low beam headlight went out so I brought it to the dealership. They said it wasn't the headlight, it was the ballast which apparently powers the HID light. They ordered that part and I went back today to get it installed and they said it still isn't working properly. The light will turn on for a few seconds and then go back out. I am going to have to go back there tomorrow for them to try and figure this out. I wanted to see if anyone on this forum has experienced this same issue or might know of some possible solutions?

Thanks!!
