Default 2005 T5 - Couple issues (new volvo guy)

just bought a 2005 S40 T5 AWD with 110,000 miles. Runs pretty well, but a couple issues have come up:
1) lotta road noise - excessive hum, but I think that it is a tire problems as the last guy had 42 psi in all the tires. The tires are in good shape tread wise, but when I moved the front to back it actually got louder. Would a bad wheel bearing sound about the same as a bad tire?

2) check engine came on and I took it to autozone - came back with P0193 error code - a low fuel pressure issue - said it could be fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator or fuel filter. Light went off, but the car has been cutting out when driving. I would assume a fuel pump would just stop, not act up? any ideas on how to diagnose?

Thanks for any help.

I'm thinking the road noise is the tires. In my experince a bad wheel bearing is very noisy at one spot. Also, you can feel the heat from the bad bearing after driving awhile. It will be noticeably hotter than the other wheels. Plus it gets louder and louder over time as it grinds itself to pieces. What brand tires are on it now?

Do a search here on the P0193 issue. I haven't experienced this one yet. I have read other similar threads though so information is available.

thanks for the reply. I have noticed that the tires are cupped. When I rotated them from rear to front, the noise got worse - makes sense.

I have done allot of reading on this and other forums and understand the 0193 code and how to replace.
Thanks again.
