2006 S40 iPod Connect?
Hey everyone, my girlfriend got an '06 Volvo S40 last year as her first car. I just had a new CD player put in my truck with iPod connect so I don't have to burn any more CD's, and now she's been wanting one to go with her factory stereo.
Is there an aftermarket iPod connect cable that a good shop can install for her, can she get one through Volvo, or would she have to go with a whole new stereo (which her parents won't let her do)?
thanks for any help guys, I appreciate it!

Unfortunately, Volvo, in their infinite wisdom, did not include an AUX jack in the S40 prior to 2007! Actually my biggest complaint with mine (2006 S40 T5). Her easiest choice would be to buy an FM Transmitter, which I cannot stand, but have little choice at this time. They work, but they're noisy, cheap, and clog up space.
Another option would be to do something like what these guys did. Read through it, as it has some very good info, and I am actually thinking of doing it as well. I'm not looking for an iPod hookup, per se, just an AUX to run any portable device.
Good luck to you and your girlfriend.
