My wife ordered a service manual on cd-rom for her car off ebay. It seems to be the dealer VIDA version. Only one problem, I couldn't get it to install on my computer. After a little research on the software I found out that it only works with the PRO or business versions of windows. I have windows 7 home premium. I'm running Linux on my other computer so I'm pretty sure that's out of the question. Does anyone know of a work around for this?

 

Look for a VMware image of VIDA. This will run on any computer. You can even get a DiCE interface to connect your car directly into the image for real-time diagnostics as well as the shop manual function you know about.
