Hello,


I have a 2006 S40 T5. The Interior Light Dome Console over the rear View mirror has come loose and is hanging down. I have tape it in its place but its hard to keep in its place. I have called Volvo parts but they do not make that part any more. Is there anywhere I can buy this part?

Is it broken or does it need to be tightened? Maybe a screw worked loose and is still inside the fixture somewhere? Pictures?

Look on Ebay or call your local junkyards. I can find a newer S40 some of the time at my local pull a part.

 

Hi, Hudini: Thanks for your response. There are no screws..the light dome just popped out and inside plastic connectors are broken so the dome won't snap back in....does this information help?

 

Volvo seems to love cheap plastic unfortunately. They want the plastic to degrade once the car's service life is finished. However, the plastic in some areas has started the process while the car is still in service. If you want a snap in replacement and your local junkyards are not helping then try Ebay motors.
