2007 S40 Coolant Leak
Having trouble finding the source of a coolant leak. Replaced the coolant reservoir as it had a crack, but the problem remains.
Seems to be leaking from somewhere on the bottom end of the driver's side, between the radiator and transmission.
Attached a photo of where the leak is coming from, as near as I can tell. The red arrow is pointing to it. First Volvo and having trouble finding a decent engine diagram. Oil sump?
Any help would be appreciated.

did you clean off the engine to get a better sense of flow? If its not any of the usual places - hoses, reservoir, thermostat housing, radiator, seams along the head gasket etc, I wonder if it could be a freeze plug problem - it may help if you find a UV dye kit to see what's flowing downhill.

There are quite a few hoses above that point, so there are a lot of possible culprits. Yes, as mt6127 suggests, adding dye would probably help you find the path, or maybe just start removing some of the stuff that's in the way so you can just trace it out visually (usually it's pretty obvious once you can get eyeballs on the full path of the leak).

Upper radiator hose is my guess. That thing is a snake with multiple potential failure points. You can't see it until you remove the air cleaner housing. A royal PITA. The 2.5L T5 engine is even worse than the 2.4L due to the turbo coolant hoses.
