Default 2008 S 40 Low Beam problem

Had a low beam failure notification so I went out and bought the Silverlight Ultra headlights and put them in no problem. Worked like a champ. Next Day I have a low beam failure notification again. A little confused but I popped out the light assembly again and looked at my bulbs and they were totally melted. Both of them. So naturally I had one bulb that was still good from before I swapped them and slapped it back in so I would at least have one head light. And its not working either. Is there some mysterious fuse that I cannot find in the fuse box or engine compartment. Im very frustrated. Any ideas?

Since you know how to install bulbs yourself I am guessing you know to not touch the glass part of the bulb with your hands when installing them? Just asking.

There is a thread about the CEM being the problem on the earlier 2000-2004.5 models. Don't know if it affects the later 2005+ models. The bulbs are not melted though, just don't work, therefore the question above.

Yes, I didnt touch the bulbs at all. I can't find any of the 2005+ that have that CEM issue. So I am guessing that Volvo resolved that. I guess my next step is to go buy some generic bulbs and see if maybe that one I took out that was good is now bad. I examined the plug wires and they all look to be in good shape as well as the plugs. They aren't melted or anything.
