2008 S40 Fuel Pump Relay Location
I've been getting all sorts of fuel pump/fuel circuit/fuel pressure codes. I replaced the pump and pressure regulator. I am replacing the fuel pressure sensor. I purchased the fuel pump relay to replace that too (part # Volvo 9434225). For the life of me though, I can not find the fuel pump relay location. Diagrams show it under the passenger side glove box but all I find is a 15 amp fuse for the fuel pump. Does anyone have a good idea where the actual relay location is?
That red relay fits earlier cars, (850s, svc70s from 92-2000) It does not fit yours. The correct part number for the relay (to the best of my ability) is 9441161. What are you calling the pressure regulator? - the fuel pump control unit on top of the tank that's a few hundred dollars?
You might want to diagnose the problem instead of just replacing parts. For instance you can get fuel pressure codes if the pump duty cycle is over 45%. In other words it takes a scan tool capable of reading that value. What scan tool are you using?
