How do I get to the lower screws to remove the waterfall console? I removed the display and the top screws but I can't access the lower ones.

 

See the little panel holding the power adapter at the base of the shifter? You will find the screws underneath. Carefully pry the small panel up and disconnect the power supply.

 

On the 2008-2012 Model S40 (Facelift) the floor console was redesigned. Access to the two lower waterfall console screws require you to undo the screws and clip securing the floor console and sliding the floor console backwards about 30-40mm or so to get to the two lower screws.
