Default 2011 Volvo S40 T5 Not starting

Okay, so I have been having a lot of issues with my Volvo which sucks but currently it is not starting what so ever and burned through the original starter. I used a jumper wire to run the new starter that I installed, It will spin but not shoot into the transmission. If I try to start the car on its own the solenoid will click in but won't spin. I used a test light to check for power on the positive terminal down to the start itself and I'm not getting any power past the first 6 inches of wire, my father and I both think that the terminal has a fuse? Any help with the current situation would be amazing thank you all!

1.Not spinning over or spinning over and not starting?
2.You used it so much trying to get the engine to run, the starter quit working and you replaced it?
3. A jumper wire from the red battery cable on the starter to the spade terminal on the starter solenoid? That energizes an electromagnet (in the solenoid) the inner part of the solenoid moves, pushes the starter gear into the flywheel and once it reaches the end a copper bar transfers battery power to the starter making it spin.
4. can you turn the engine over by hand with a socket and a long pull bar/ratchet using the nut on the crankshaft pulley?

What did the flywheel teeth look like when you had the starter out?

I trust you have are keeping the battery fully charged.

Okay, I have figured out that I blew the fuse in the positive cable to the starter as well as the fuse in the fuse box which somehow caused my starter to fry up. I have replaced the starter and the fuse and made a custom cable with no fuse to the starter for the time being, until I either harvest another fuse cable or just buy the harness from Volvo for the $340

Your fuse or cable didn't fry your starter - your starter (the one that died) killed your fuse and cable. I don't know that I'd get too excited about not having a fuse in your starter cable - I can't think of another car I've had that has one.

I'm not excited about having no fuse in the cable? Its a temporary fix until I buy a replacement cable.
