My 2k3 S40 has an intermittent electrical problem. I've had the car 6 months and this has occured randomly throughout this time. More so while sitting in traffic or if I drive aggressively. The problem is that there seems to be short that occurs when it gets hot. For instance, if the AC kicks on, the radio will turn off but come back on 2 seconds later. If I were sitting in traffic andturned onmy headlights, the radio and AC would cut off but come back on. The car has also just 'died' while in traffic/drive thru but starts back up. On a 100 degree day here I stopped for gas and the car would not start for 5 minutes, no electrical current to anything. Once it did start I had to put in my radio security code. Anyway, how can I find the faulty component(s)? I'm 80% sure it's heat but can't tell what could be shorting out and am assuming it's in the engine compartment. I wish whatever component(s) that is 'shorting' should just fail so I can fix it.

One more thing, I flashed my headlights while on the interstate the other day and the car shuttered (assuming coil elect fault) and now my airbag light is on. (the whole car reset at 70mph).
