I was driving home last night and when I got to the turn for my neighborhood it straight up died, I didn't turn it over until this afternoon, but when I did it literally just accelerates like my foot is slammed down on the gas pedal and then it dies. Help Please I'm pretty new to Volvos

 

You may have a large air leak - making the idle high and the mixture too lean. Take the black circled cover off. That 3/8 black plastic tube may have come out of the intake manifold, that supplies vacuum to the brake booster. There's a little red clip that breaks and fails to hold that pipe in.
