Yesterday, after much investigation, I just bought an 05 s40 T5 AWD. I love this car. This is the one I've been waiting so patiently to show itself. The only two things that I thought it would be nice to have, that this one doesn't, is a homelink visor for the driver side and the digital compass in the rearview mirror.

Does anyone know if this is something I could buy, used, and swap out with my current parts? Or does it require more integration into a central computer or something like that.

Also, any suggestions on where to purchase these items if it will work? I thought the classifieds on this forum as a good place to start.

As to Homelink...............Volvo has had that option for many years. Check with your Volvo dealer for that option. In my old 02 c70 the device is located in the drivers sun visor. I can't help you on the compass other to suggest that you purchase a Garmin GPS and then you will have it all.............
