Default Air bleeder valve location on a 2000 s40

I need help locating the air bleeder valve so I can refill my system correctly with coolant. Some bozo at the tire shop cut two of my radiator hoses. After repairing them I assume I need to bleed the system of air to refill correctly however for the life of me I cannot locate it. Please Help

Are you referring to the radiator cap? That's the only bleeder valve I'm aware of. Just fill the radiator until it takes no more. Then close the cap and fill the overflow tank to the bottom line. Now run the car through a hot/cold cycle and top off the overflow tank as needed.

As far as I know, the 2000 S40 as well as the 2000 V40 has no radiator cap. I flushed my radiator recently and now the heater is not working at all. Now I'm wondering it is because I need to bleed the trapped air in the system. Any help to locate the air bleeders will be welcome... Thx!!

Lol, don't know what I was thinking about the radiator cap! Had a non-working heater from a too low coolant level once though.

Take a look at this picture. See the little red thing on the black hose in the top right corner of the picture? Could that be it? I'm not at home so I can't look at the car myself. I can't remember if that is a coolant hose or an air intake hose.

That's it!! It's a coolant hose and the red one there is the air bleeder. Just open it a little with a flat screwdriver until you see coolant coming from inside, and then close it. I also attached zoomed pictures...thx!!
