Can anyone please direct me on how to obtain a new /good secondhand MAF.
It is very expensive here in South Africa.

Secondly i am mentioning my engine no in the mail because it seems that the Volvo agents in South Africa cannot specify on their database whether the MAF, for my car has a 3 or 5 pin plug in.Apparently they cannot check physically as it is ,according to them not a "regular" stock item or maybe they just dont want to give information.

Most of the spareshops here are telling me that my car take the 3 pin - but i can assure you i have had this car for 2 years now and always had a 5-pin MAF until now when it became faulty.I think they are mistaking my car for a 1.6L or 1.8 L but according to the "S2" in my engine code I understand it to be a 2.OL???

i really need some help on this one.

Hello and Welcome.

If you are looking for a used unit, I would recommend checking on ebay. Just make sure it is a genuine Bosch unit. All the others are trash and will not work well.
