Default alternator

ok is the voltage output suppose to drop after the engine warms up. I read 14.50 at startup at the aternator, then after a few it drops to 13.60 at the alternator?

also are there any regulators or relays outside the alternator that would make it drop in output?

My vehicles will do this too. I believe it has to do with the charge level of the battery. When the car is first started you've just used quite a bit of amperage. The alternator is then working to top off the battery. Once the battery is up to voltage the alternator output drops to maintain voltage in the battery.

Try turning on alot of high-load items like headlights and the A/C to high to see if the voltage increases to meet the demand placed on the battery.
