Anyone advice please!
So I went to get going to school this morning, car no start! Tried three or four times, all electronics work fine, but no start, the immobilizer light was flashing, hitched a ride to school while my dad called the stealership. At the time, I did not know it was the immobilizer light so my dad ordered a used starter thinking that was the problem. Got off school, called Volvo, they say probably antenna ring is toast. Dealership also said it would store a code if indeed that was it. I heard it was a $9-10 part but is a pain to replace from other forums. Bottom line, any idea what it will cost me to have it done at dealership?
Another question: Is there any place online that I can buy a replacement plastic under engine cover. I'm talking about the black plastic piece that covers sensitive engine components under the car in the front. I would think it would be easy to replace, just a few screws or something right? Or wrong!
Thanks!
You are a great help!

tech can answer the first question...
As for the undertray...Try: http://www.fcpgroton.com/or http://www.ipdusa.com/or http://pelicanparts.com/
it should just be a couple of screws and a swap with the new one.

Yes the antenna ring is a pain to replace. You will need to remove the steering wheel and all parts to get to it.
I think the Dealer will charge like 3 hours labor.
Do you have another key you can try?
Also if the battery is low on voltage it can cause the same problem.

Well the dealer has it now. I suspect it is a bigger problem. When I tried to start it this morning it cranked really really hard and when it started it smelled tremendously of gas, drove OK all the way to the dealer. I am really really fed up with this car. All it has is problems. I have spent over $2000 on repairs and the car doesn't even have 90k yet, I've only had it since May! This is rediculous!
Ended up being:
1. Leaking Radiator Hose (this is what was smelling)
2. New Battery (guy I bought it from said it was new)
3. New antenna Ring (figured)
Cost: $500 for all. This is nuts!
Having to drive a Mazda minivan all day: Priceless
No mention of Fuel Pressure Regulator

Yes I was ready to buy the FPR but I didn't, it has been doing well for a while now until this happened. I too also hope it is all fixed. I also don't think FPR is the issue because the stupid dealership said they tested the entire fuel system and found no fault so idk what I will do. I could play a game of guess and replace but that tends to be costly. I guess just wait until it announces itself and then take care of it.
Thanks.
Thanks.
