I need to replace my car battery for a 2002 S40. My mechanic said that it had to be a volvo battery and when I looked it up it was close to $300. Is that right? That sounds like an awful lot for a battery. Any suggestions?

Find a MT-47 or a MT-48 interstate battery and it will work fine.
