hey, whats up, new here and just bought a 01 s40, have already dropped about 3 grand into and love it, just one question, i just bought a boost controler and was wondering what the factory boost pressure was at and what the highest safest pressure i can go is...and since i am going to be upping the PSI, do i need a turbo timer or anything else???

hey, I have an 01 s40 to, the factory boost is 8lbs I beleive and volvo said you could safely go to 16lbs but I blew mine running 14 and just had turbonetics make me a T3 running at 18lbs, you don't need a turbo timer since it is a factory turbo and already in sinq with your engine, a boost controller won't do anything either since the boost pressure is controlled by the computer(I know I've tried), the only way to increase the boost pressure is to get a new ecu, I would recommend one from eurosporttuning.com or dahlback racing they're about 900 bucks, hey I'm looking for a good suspension kit if you know where to get one. my e-mail is freexkevin@icqmail.com
