Default Brakes

I have noticed a lot of black dust on the rear wheels, normally other all disk break cars I had deposit more on the front wheels - I also notice the S40 seems to break very flat without pitching forward. This is nice. Am I imagining this or are these new cars really designed to break more evenly? If so, neat.
Are there any pads that will not put all that black dust out? It accumulates every 50 miles or so!

That is how the S40 is designed.
It is a nice feeling while driving.

There is some aftermarket pads out there that are harder.
But me I don't like them. I stick with the OEM pads stops better.

Mintex makes a good set of aftermarket pads for 1st gen 40's.Not sure about the newer ones. They stop great and dont seem to dust up my wheels as bad.BJ

I agree it is a nice feel while driving and stopping, I am really liking this flatter braking. Probably stay with the oem pads.
