where is cabin airfilter located on 05 s40?

 

is ur car left hand drive or right hand drive

 

Fosh - I have a 2006 S40, left hand American drive car. Can you tell me where the cabin air filter is located and can I change it myself?

 

have to remove accelerator pedal to get access.. from left front kick panel (closer to the center console side)

 

I've seen this question dozens of times on this forum and have yet to see a descriptiveuseful answer. A step by step instruction would be great.

 

IF U ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH VOLVO UNPLUG THE BATTERY BEFORE YOU BEGIN... SINCE UNPLUGGED ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND KEY ON BY ACCIDENT WILL SET CHECK ENGINE LIGHT => HAVE TO RESET LIGHT AT DEALER
1.)May or may not need to remove driver under side panel
2.) remove screws for the accelerator pedals (WITH HAND AND NO POWER TOOL IF NOT FAMILIAR SINCE IT MAY STRIP SCREWS)and unplug pedal set aside
3.) on the side of the Climate unit or evaporator box there is an access cover.
4.) remove cover and pull out filter toward driver side
5.) installation is reverse order.
6.) NOTE: when installing accelerator pedal thread screws in by hand... since I have seen those screws stripped numerous time

(MAKE SURE ACCELERATOR PLUG IN BEFORE REATTACH BATTERY AND TURNING ON KEY)
