Hi there can anyone please tell me where the reset valve is on my 1999 S40 1.6 petrol, car went in for service and code that came up was faulty camshaft reset valve,Haynes manual in UK does not show where it is or if it as one, I have been told this is a former Renault engine from a Mk one Renault Laguna if any one can help please I would be grateful

I have the North American version for 2001 which has the 1.9L turbo engine. If this is any relation to your engine then it's located on top of the engine near the exhaust cam CVVT gear. You can just barely see it in this pic. It has 4 bolts and 1 electrical connector.

Many thanks Hudini I have now sorted out where the camshaft rattle is now coming from as heard on You Tube, dealer price quote is £110 + tax for part alone
