Car will not start
I have a 06 S40 T5 and recently had to disconnect the wiring harness from the ECM to move the air box. After putting it back together the immobilizer light comes on and it will not do anything. I have checked all the connections and tried to lock and unlock the car to reset it but no luck. I'm 150 miles from the nearest Volvo dealer. Does anyone have any other ideas to try???
hey.
I have worked a lot on s40s from 2001. so I may not have the solution to your problem but I have an idea!!!
Check your fuse in the fuse box named : Fuse box interior 40A.
Check the other fuses to and the relays underneath your dash board. If you live near a gravel road that is seldomly refurbished then the components can jump out of the sockets and cause electrcial faults. if this is the case, then push them back in.
Note: remember to grease your antenna. The antenna in the s40s (at least the 2001 2002 and 2003 are a great part of the electrical system. For example: if the antenna is not greased properly and stalled on the way up or down, it can lock you out of the car and also cause ignition problems.
