Default Cem?

i bought my son a 2004 volvo s40 t5 and to say the least it has cost me a fortune so far!
First issue was the immobolizer, than the car would shut off if we used any type of electronics in the car or opened the doors, so I took the car to a mechanic and he said the CEM needed replaced. He purchased a used CEM and sent it too Xmodo (spelling may be wrong) to get reprogrammed and our old chip installed in the used CEM. Now the car stereo plays really low, the air condition will not switch from cold to hot and also my son can not switch the vent positions. CEM is bad? Thanks everyone

check fuses and connections first - the stereo problem sounds like the amp is not getting power and you may have an issue with the DIM (driver information module) considering the AC issues. Were they working before you did the CEM?

The stereo and everything else worked before the cem replacement.
