Default CEM's

Hi, I have a 2005 S40. My straight question is, can I replace the CEM with a used one from another S40 (the VIN's match up) and program it to my car?

dealer will need to program the new CEM, you can probably make a quick call to them to see if they can do it with it out of the car, even if its a used part. If you want to get your CEM repaired, XeModex is going wholesale and FCP Euro is one of their retail outlets so you may want to consider going that route.

We cannot program anything out of the car. I'm not sure if it can be reprogrammed. I think there is a secret software part number to wipe the old programming but not a lot of guys have it.
