Hi I have a 2000 s40 with only (40kmiles) but the sticker on the door indicates airbag must be re certified in 2010. What does this entail? How much does it cost? Any advice appreciated.

No idea what recertification means. Mine also has this sticker however.

I do know how much a new airbag costs. I had one replaced because it "shorted out" the total was $950.00.

 

should jsut be a visual inspection - an hour of labor or so.
