Hi, New to this site. Hope you can help. I have a 2001 S40 with 1.8Gdi engine. My car has started to race when im coming to a stop. When the car stops it returns to normal rpm. Any idea what my issue is ?

 

I don't think anyone can diagnose your issue on your S40 just by that description. Do you have a CEL and/or codes by chance? There are many things that can trigger that response in your car. MAF sensor being one.. Not saying that's what it is. If you are able to get the ecu scanned if you have a CEL.
