Door strips
Hi, I have a 2000 S40, and I'm not sure what those rubber strips on the doors are called (door guards?), but the one on my driver's side, passenger door is starting to peel off. The one on the passenger side front door is having some problems as well. Is there an inexpensive way to re-attach them, or will I have to foot the bill for news ones?
I was told the short one on the driver's side rear door is $72.
Thanks.

RE: Door strips
Volvo calls them trim mouldings.
They are held in place by a double sided adhesive tape. Carefully remove them andclean off any old adhesive using white spirit. When refitting, the door panel should be at room temperature and the trim and double sided tape should be warmed to about 40C. Put the tape onto the moulding then attach it to the door with firm hand pressure.
