Engine Fan Control; ON when ignition in OFF position
Hello enthusiasts!
I just can't get engouh of you, visiting the site once per week over the weekends got me hooked.
I have this current issue; the low rpm choking start I had described in another post, led me to do a thorough cleaning of all sensors that I could see on the engine, MAS, MAP, Oxygen, including a radiator fan sensor connected permanently to the fan motor wiring. I obtain a better result for the choking BUT after that I drove the car (normal) and when I parked and turned of the ignition, the FAN STAY ON FOREVER. Coming back home, after 24 hours, even when car is cool, if I turn ignition key off (engine not started), the radiator fan RUNS continuously, when I put the ignition ON, the radiator fan goes OFF. Otherwise, when I start the engine and run, the fan goes ON and OFF normally depending on engine temprature,as it is supposed to do.
Please do give me an answer, because I am stuck and cannot go anywhere with my car in this situation...

I wanted to share that the problem was fixed by changing the MAF sensor which obviously was giving erroneous info the ECM for turning on the fan while at stop! could not have done it without the ODBII reader; the MAF sensor had one of the two links broken. FYI.
Welcome. I think the MAF affects a lot of things, because now the engine runs as GOLD... I thought of many many things like temperature sensor, fan control module, etc... but the car was not overheating... the MAF regulates the mixtures and engine firing occurs accordingly... very important and it may disrupt spark plugs and enginer exhaust gets affected as I believe.
