Climate Control Fan keeps running after ignition is off
Hi,
My Climate Control Fan seems to have gotten it's own life - it keeps running even after the ignition is off. To stop it I need to pull the fuse, after which the fuse can be re-inserted without the fan re-starting.
And while driving the car, it is only sometimes I can control the fan speed.
Any ideas?

My V70 fan would keep running after a reasonably long drive and more so if during
very warm days, but it would shut down after awhile, some times it would restart
for a short time again,I wondered how it would effect the battery,it did not seem to.
My guess is it needed to do it as the hot engine needed to be cooled down.?

Assuming this is occurring in warm weather this is a standard Volvo feature called "after blow" for the purpose of drying out the A/C evaporator to prevent mold and mildew. It can cycle on/off over the course of an hour or so after turning off the engine.
