Few problems... lot of money
Hi:
I have a Volvo S40 2000 and lately it is starting to give some problems. Yesterday I took it to get it checked and the ignition coil was replaced and fuel injector sensor was replaced. I pay $300 for this and I was wondering if this is a little over priced. I need to change the camshaft front seals, drive belt, inner CV joint and the bottom shield. This would be about $1000. Does this sound right? I am considering changing this car so any suggestions would be great.
Thanks
RJ

Are you going to the dealer?? if so they charge a massive markup on parts..
their labour is also more expensive, try a indy shop that specalise in Volvo, you may find that
they are a bit cheaper, they will also use after market parts being cheaper.
If you are handy perhaps you could do a little of the work yourself and save on labour costs.
Do a google search on "fcp groton" pleny of good volvo parts there.
Good luck
