2001 Volvo S40
I went to replace my fuel filter today and looked at the harness/strap that holds the filter on was broken.... the strap had a wire connected to it and that wire was cut by something..........

anyone know what that is called and where to get replacement peices for it??


could that also be why my car is throwing a P0455 evap gross leak??

That wire is for nothing at all as far as I know. I have never seen that wire hooked up to anything beside the plastic fuel filter strap.

 

That wire have no use to it.. I just use cable tie to tie it up with fuel filter so that it dosen't dangle... on europe I believe that is for a heater for diesel fuel.
