fuel pressure problem
hi i have been informed by volvo from there dignostics machine that i have problem with my fuel pressure when it has warmed up and this is what is causing my car to run bad and cut out if left to idle for to long. they have said that the fault is with the mechanical fule pump on my gdi engine. the problem i have is it costs me over £600 to get this part replaced and it might not be this? can anyone else think of anthing else in the fuel system that might cause this?
I would appreciate any feed back to this problem especialy if it can save me money.
Has anyone heard of or had a similar problem to this?
Thanks in advance

RE: fuel pressure problem
man, dont get me started on this. ive got similar problems with my gdi volvo piece of ****. tech mentioned its most likely the coils gone, or fuel pressure playing up. so took it to volvo and they say major carbon build up (why doesnt this happen on anyother car?) and it needs a full decoke thing done, and the cost? only a mere £1200. any way gonna post a new post regarding this.
