Hello!

Just bought volvo s40 and im pretty happy with car. However I already run into problem. How on earth do you get open the gps main unit (thing where you put dvd to update maps). It is one inside glove box (i can get pictures if it helps), mounted at top. I am unable to find the way to get it open so i sould put in dvd, cant find any buttons around it, tried to push the front of it, nothing... Also there is no option in sat nav menu to pop it open. Any ideas how to get this thing open? Right now its just useless box taking up space in glove box..

 

Ok i am an idiot, basically few minutes after opening thread i figured it out. If anyone as dumb as me is trying to figure it out: you basically slide the front of the unit down and you will get the opening where to slide dvd in.

Anyway one more question, is there anyway to retract mirrors close to door. Pressing both R and L does nothing, so i probably dont have powered mirrors, but even when i try to retract them manually they dont retract too much, there is a lot of space between mirror and car door, my old renault could retract them really close so maybe there is something i am missing?
