Any suggestions what the best or the most suitable GPS system is for my 2004 S60

Are you sticking to a certain price range? Do you prefer portable or built-in? There are many to choose from starting around $150 and going up to $2000.

The portables have the advantage of placement (you can stick them anywhere you like) and price. Many are small making it difficult to read on the fly, but you can find some that are larger and more expensive. Think TomTom or Garmin.

The built-in (or in-dash) units are much more expensive but are usually easier to view, look cleaner,and carry more features (play dvds, mp3, pictures, aux input for games or backup camera). The drawback is that you will be taking your eye off the road-- not as safe as a dashmounted unit. I like Alpine for this, but theres plenty to choose from.

Most are capable of displaying Points of Interest (restaurants, gas stations, attractions) so don't bother with one that doesn't. That's all that I'll say. I'm sure plenty of others will chime in.

 

I have an 06 s60 2.4T and use the Garmin c340. I am very happy with it. I use the suction cup mount and mount it on the top left corner of the vehicle (i hate anything obscuring my view). I have been looking into seeing if i can someohow jimmy rig that rectangular open compartment to make some sort of mount fit into it. That would be ideal.
