I have had 7 Toyotas and 1 Honda, over the past 30 years, new and used from the top Camry and Accord to a lowly Starlet. Never had problems.

Just got an S40. 10k on the clock, 3 years old. Ex mobility, fully maintained. I found this 100 miles from home thinking it was a good buy. It has a 6 month warrenty, from the sales garage. So thought I got a deal.

I have had it 2 weeks and get this message Anti-skid service required. WHAT! Reading on here I could be in for all sorts of problems. perhaps I should have stayed Jap!

I thought this was meant to be a reliable car, and with 10k thought I was safe. Convince me I have not made a big mistake! To take it back is such a pain, 200 mile round trip.

It's funny because the S40 was a joint design effort with Mitsubishi.
I'd hardly call teh car telling you it needs servicing unreliable....

 

Welcome to the forum. The message is not a big deal 9 times out of 10. I had it pop up on my S60R and all the car needed was an alignment.
