Greetings. My Name is Jason and I just got my first Volvo. So far I am impressed! This S40 moves.

Only thing is I can smell what I think is antifreeze from the exhaust and I see a little smoke while driving after it warms up after like 45 min or so. I had a subaru in the past the had a head issue that they had a recall on that they had a conditioner they poured in that fixed it.

Has anyone tried using one of those Bar's or K&W fixes for these head gaskets? With being my first Volvo I don't know much about them yet and don't want to screw it up.

I am mechanically inclined and could replace the gaskets. But if these conditioners really work that could save me much work. Just wondering??
