headlights not working
 

both headlights not working tried new bulbs nothing all other lights work including side lights,pulled plugs off head headlight bulbs and i have power there but headlights dont has anybody got any ideas any help would be gratfull yhanks simon rc pilot sorry its a 1997 s40

Sounds like the CEM issue. This is a European model S40?

if i plug in a test lamp to the plug at back of head light the bulb lights reconnect to head lamp bulb nowt surly if power is getting to bulb it should light up thanks for your reply rc pilot

2000 S40 - headlights
 

I just had this - the passenger headlight went out - then the drivers side about a week later. The brights worked. Replaced bulbs and the bulb sockets

Ended up going to the mechanic - it was the module - about 700-900 from dealer, but they located a used one - 300.

does a 1997 volvo s 40 have a cem i cant seem to find it is it where they headlight relays plug in rc pilot
