Default Help!

If the timing belt comes off of a 2006 Volvo s40 and causes serious damage ($7300) to the engine area would the vehicle be able to pull back into the service station or would it be unable to move once this happened?

The car would not run if the belt comes off. It it just jumps a couple teeth, it will run poorly because of bent valves.

Welcome to the forum Danny

As above, if the belt comes off it's not going to start or run. If it comes off while running it will bend valves and possibly damage the cylinder head(s).
