I have a 2001 volvo s40 and for the past two hours i have been trying to figure out how to get the battery out. I know where it is. I have disconnected the "wires/bolts" that hold the battery in on the top but it seems to still be stuck. anyone know what the trick is?

 

There's a plastic clip down low in front that holds the bottom of the battery to the tray....push down on it and it will come loose.
