I prefer one with some details. I have looked on several forums and googled it, but can't find what I think I need.


I recently replaced the radiator on my 01 s40 and the black tube on the EVAP was brittle and it broke into several pieces. Plus the other black tube appears to have been broken for some time.


With the older hose break, I got no CEL, but with this new on, there is nothing attached to the valve and I get a CEL everyday..... P0455 I believe is the number. "Large Evap Leak"


I would prefer to NOT buy a $100 hose, so question 2 is: what do you guys do to fix the EVAP valve hosing?

 

I found this picture. the lower half is the Evap valve (#26) and the $99 hoses [23], which is great.... but where in the hell do they all go?


both hoses on 23 are now broken. the one that attaches to the valve is the one that recently broke.
