Hello everybody ! I have S40 2000 ,Iwas tokd by the goodyear diagnostic the my car needs the ignition coils ,the 2 wireslaves,then the camshaft sensor total price for that $1200 include labor they said the camshaft cost $630.99 ups I saig then Icalled the dealer they told the price $279.0 I already bought the 4 sprk plugs,2 ignition coils,2 wire slaves but! stil my car hesitates what can I do?

 

I already replaced 2 ignition coils,2 wireslaves,4 spark plugs,I was told by the goodyear shop diagnostic that my car needs the camshaft sensor... but? I don't know if that it's true cuz they toldme that the price for the sensor is$630.99 I called the dealer then they told me the price is $279.0 it seems to me that the good year are scam people

 

My car lacks of power then the check engine lights is blinking I connected my OBDII then it says 2 codes found 1- A/T 2- engine what can I do now shoud I install the camshaft sensor?

 

get a second opinion with another volvo technician. If it is my car, I would at least find out what's wrong with it before I put anymore money. and the best way to diagnosis with your car is w/vida. at least u could see the parameter & the real dtc, no by guessing.

 

Thank's ibanez , i went today to the dealer one of the guy toldme that the camshaft position sensor bearly breaks ,he sales maybe one of them a year, he doesn't believe the that's the problem he going to barrow me one tomorrow and i'l going to test the car and see, the otherwise i have to drop it to the dealer and see

 

that's right, if I recall, I hardly have to change a cam sensor on a s40.
