Default IAT Sensor Location??

Can anyone point me in the right direction?I am looking for the IAT sensor location on my 2001 SE(Manual/Petrol,based in u.k),I think i roughly know where it is,but am not 100%.I have followed the intake hose from the filter housing, down to the throttle housing, and would i be correct in saying it is the sensor mounted on the throttle housing??The manual shows the sensor actually mounted on the hose assembly elbow,

It depends on the engine which is fitted. The 2.0 litre turbo, 1.6, 1.8 & 2.0 litre non-turbo and 1.8GDI have the IAT indifferent places.

I have attached pictures from Autodata of turbo and non-turbo as they are the most common. If you should have the GDI I can post one for that.

The top picture is the turbo. IAT sensor is #18. The second picture is the non-turbo. IAT sensor is #17 and is actually in the MAF sensor (#19)

Default RE: IAT Sensor Location??

Hello, I´m from spain, and i have a volvo s40 1.8GDI , an i can´t locate the IAT sensor, My question is ¿The IAT sensor in my model is integrated in the MAF sensor (caudalimeter)? I´m trying to put a resistance in the IAT to try to get more power.
