RE: intercooler and piping
1. You bought the wrong brand of car if you wanted cheap modding abilities.
2. 2.5" piping maybe 2.75" piping would be the biggest I would go. It is tight in these engine bays and 3" probably wont fit unless major construction is done.
3. If you would make a custom FMIC system you would gain power yes.

RE: intercooler and piping
so you think with a smaller size piping it could be installed with no mods also i still have problems with my car. I have six codes on and i cant figure out what it is. P0505 ----P0245----P0445-----P0031------P0037-------P1446. i replaced my map sensor my thorttle control and oxygen sensors so then i thought it was my cats so i took them off and still the same. when the car is in park and i push the gas quickly black smoke comes out. i checked my turbo for play and no play at all. i think what caused the problem was a resistor i bought to make the car run a bit quicker.
