May sound like a ridiculous question, but I am going to change the brake rotors and pads on the front of the car. I would like to know where I can mount the jack stands.
If I jack the car up using the recommended jack points in the owners manual, where can I place the jack stands.

Post a pic of the underside of the car and maybe I can edit it and help. I don't have a S40.

 

You can always jack the car as normal and put jack stands under the subframe.
