Default K&N Typhoon Intake

I have a 2005 Volvo S40 T5 FWD and I want to get the typhoon cold air intake for it. I was looking at the massive airbox assembly and noticed there are a bunch of wires and stuff on it is this the ECU? When I get the cold air, where will all the electrical stuff go? Also can you really tell a difference in acceleration with the cold air?
Thanks

cold air induction is very good cheap mod for performance, but won't be as noticeable as a more drastic mod

Would it make it shift any faster... I notice in I think 3rd gear while gunning it, it takes a while to shift to fourth. So where would the wiring go with a typhoon intake?

Throttle response should be heightened a little. But don't expect to see major gains.

Downpipe and an ECU upgrade are what are going to get you bigger numbers.

I cannot varify if they will or if they wont.

From what I can tell each Volvo dealership is different.

So it could affect it and it may not affect it.

Go at your own risk. If anything ask your dealership.

DONT waste your money on a KN Intake.. Your better off to just add a Dryflow cone filter on the end of your intake pipe and just remove the intake box, its the same setup, just cheaper...

ive got the same car with the typhoon... its sweet. it sounds great, helps the turbo spool and you can hear the waste gate a lil bit... it helps the motor breathe a bit better and gives the already peppy car an extra zip... thats also discontinued ik belive.... so grab it if you can....
