Default Leaking anti-freeze

I have been topping off the overflow tank on my S40 for the last two months but unable to find any leaks. This past week the car sat in the garage for one week and was not run and I noticed a small puddle under the engine on the passenger side. Further examination revealed anti-freeze coming from a small hose under the thermostat area. Is this difficult to replace this small rubber hose? And can I do it without removing other parts?

It is a pain might be easier if you remove the power steering pump first.

I agree. It does appear to free up some room. I had the local Volvo dealer faxed me a cooling system diagram and the part number is 9463073 (tough to see).

I have only ever messed with them when removing the intakes.

This past weekend I removed the power steering pump and was able to access that small cooling hose. It turns out the fitting that the hose connected to in the thermostat housing was loose. The hose was fine but I changed it anyway just to be safe. The toughest part was putting the serpentine belt back on.
