Unhappy Navigation System CD update

I got the need to update the navigation system in the '05 S40 2.4L, but the dealer and website told me to update can be only buying a CD at NavTeq (navigation.com) which means $199!!!

I mean, Why to pay the same amount if there is new portables GPS which updates itself every time is available?

Does anyone know if the system can be replace by other itself updatable or by a less expensive membership?

I use my iPhone. I actually prefer that to the on board Nav system, which is out dated and difficult to use.

Jajaj yeah do the same thing but... I use the phone/handsfree for calls related my business, and for sure, nothing better than use the dash integrated navigation system. This is well located, secured to the dash in the vehicle and is safety to drive
