New '09 S40
Hello, I am trying to finalize a deal on a new 09 S40 2.4i base model with climate package. MSRP with options is 30,575 and the dealer is down to 25,750. My target was 25,000 to 25,500. Good deal or great deal??? Any comments/suggestions welcome. BTW, I have never owned a Volvo before...
I priced it out on Edmunds and on a buying service that I used to purchase my 2009 S40 T5 AWD. The price you are down to looks good to me.
This is also my first Volvo...aside from an early warranty repair (which mainly affects the "reliability confidence") I have really enjoyed the car. I'm a long time purchaser/owner of Japanese brands (Toyota, Subaru, Acura, and Honda) and the S40 is the most refined vehicle I have owned.

Well, after a little negotiation I think I got a good (if not great) deal on a '09 S40 2.4I at 25.5K. There was that tax incentive and their 5 yr. 60,000 mile free maintenance helped push me in this direction. Is there anything I should be looking for in the years ahead? Thanks all
