Hi
Bought my first Volvo S40 T5 turbo 4 years ago. I would like to know where to post a question concerning a slipped timing belt issue. Long story short I was at a light with my kid in the car. I proceeded normally and all of a sudden I heard cling-clanging like either the tension pulley let go or it could have been the sound of push rods being bent around. The car stalled all the light blinked and I rolled to the side of the road. When I tried to start it the starter just cranks the motor over with no real compression. Towed to a local garage they lined up the timing marks and said I need a new engine. So here is my question can I get this 2011 motor to fit my 2005 Volvo?
Can I swap these two engines VIN digits 6 & 7
• 67 = B5244S4 C30/C70 T5 FWD (2011 Volvo C30) Good
• 68 = B5254T3 S40/V50 T5 FWD/AWD (2005 Volvo S40 T5 Turbo)
